Field Trip!

Friends and Family,

We had an AMAZING time on our trip today! We got to climb through an obstacle course, make our way through a soy bean maze, pick indian corn, go on a hayride, and learn about different kinds of pumpkins! We were able to take lots of pictures on the trip that I've posted on a private, online web album. Phonics: Aa, /a/ sound, blending -at and -am to make words

Reading: review sequence and beginning, middle, end

Sight Words: we, go

Writing: using verbs and details in our writing

On Tuesday, we will be walking to the Smyrna Fire Station.

Next Tuesday, we will be visiting Filasky's Produce in Middletown to see a real pumpkin patch!

This week is red week and Fire Safety week!

Math: continuing to compare groups made up of numbers 0-5

Social Studies: Fire Safety

Phonics: letters Pp and Cc

Reading: Stories have a beginning, middle, and end, just like steps in a process. When we understand the sequence of events, we have a clear understanding of stories and directions.

Writing: continuing to use adjectives like color words and number words

Handwriting: letters B and R

Our walking trip to the Smyrna Fire station will the the 16th! Please turn in your permission slips asap!

Sorry I missed a week!

With Miss T taking over more of the classroom and general end-of-September craziness, updating the website just got pushed aside. I hope I didn't confuse anyone!
