Hello!
This week, we will be getting into all our holiday studies! We have 2 field trips this week! On Thursday, we will visit Coleman's Christmas Tree Farm. We will make a wreath and get a tree for our classroom. On Friday, we will visit The Schwartz Center in Dover to see "The Nutcracker." We have been listening to the music and the students LOVE it!
Here's the rest of the lesson plans for the week:
Math: numbers to 20
Science: conifer trees
Social Studies: holiday traditions, St. Nicholas Day, Christmas trees past and present
Phonics: short Ii vowel sound, -it word family
Reading: sight words on & to, finding the main idea of a story
Writing: writing on the lines and with finger spaces to make our writing easy to read
Handwriting: capital letter formation
Have a wonderful week!
